Dr. Molchanov is an international relations scholar with a proven record of leading research projects for major international granting agencies, think tanks and research institutions. He is an expert in Russian - Ukrainian relations, Russian foreign policy, comparative regional integration, Eurasian regionalism, and geopolitics. An author of nearly 150 academic peer-reviewed publications, including 7 individual and co-authored books. He led research projects for the US Institute of Peace, the UN University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability, NATO, the Japan Foundation, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation, and other agencies. He is a globally cited author on IR and geopolitics of Eurasia and an experienced policy analyst with nine years of service at the federal and provincial governments in Canada.
