Sean O’Brien is a subject-matter expert in cybersecurity, privacy, AI, blockchain, and Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). He is the founder of Yale Privacy Lab, an initiative of the Information Society Project at Yale Law School. Sean is teaching “Artificial Intelligence: Creativity, Authorship, and IP” at Yale Law School and developed the Cybersecurity curriculum at Yale with Scott J. Shapiro. His company PrivacySafe delivers a suite of apps for private chat, video calls, and file storage. Sean developed a Web3 and Blockchain class at Yale as well as Hacking and Cybersecurity at the Lawfare Institute and was founding Head Tutor at Oxford University Cyber Security for Business Leaders. Sean’s expertise has appeared in The New York Times, Forbes, Bloomberg, Popular Science, AP, NBC, The Financial Times, Wired, The New Yorker, and more.
